The zero rate applies if all three points are true
- You are, or will be, the operator of a photovoltaic system.
- The goods are solar modules, components essential for operating the system, or storage units for the electricity the modules generate.
- The system is installed on or near private homes, dwellings, and public or other buildings used for activities serving the common good.
Up to 30 kWp no proof is required. The conditions are deemed met if the installed gross capacity of the system according to the Marktstammdatenregister does not and will not exceed 30 kilowatts (peak).
When it does not apply
If the goods are not bought for a photovoltaic system — for camping, travel or resale, for example — the regular rate applies. Choose 19 % VAT in that case.
Should the conditions not have been met despite your confirmation, the statutory VAT may be charged afterwards.

Mounting brackets for solar panels on flat roofs and in gardens are a practical installation system for fitting solar modules to flat surfaces without drilling. They are suitable for flat roofs, terraces, garages, canopies, carports or free-standing installations in the garden, where the panel needs to be securely fixed and correctly oriented towards the sun.
The main advantage of this system is the adjustable tilt angle of 18 to 22 degrees. This allows the position of the solar panel to be better adapted to the installation conditions and increases generation efficiency on a flat surface. This solution is well suited for balcony solar power stations and small domestic solar power stations.
The mounting system is designed for solar panels with a width of 95 to 115 cm. The module is mounted in a horizontal position, and thanks to the direct mounting of the panel, no additional mounting rails are required. This simplifies installation, makes the structure more compact and reduces the number of unnecessary components.
The system is installed without drilling. Concrete slabs, which can be selected separately, are used for ballasting. This installation method is convenient where it is undesirable to damage the roof covering or when a more flexible solution is required for placing the solar module in an open area.
The structure is made of 2 mm thick steel and features a durable Magnelis coating, which provides a high level of corrosion protection even when used outdoors. This makes the mounting system suitable for long-term use in the presence of moisture, wind, sun and other weather conditions. The claimed corrosion protection can last up to 30 years.
For additional protection when installing on a bitumen roof, protective mats are included in the kit. The kit also contains all the necessary mounting screws, so the system is well-prepared for quick assembly and installation.
The kit includes 2 adjustable supports, protective mats for the roof and mounting screws. All you need to do is install the structure, position the solar panel and add the appropriate ballast.
