The Anker SOLIX Smart Meter is the perfect addition to an Anker balcony power plant with a Solarbank. It measures the household’s current electricity consumption and helps the system make better use of the solar energy generated. This means that energy is not simply fed into the grid at a flat rate; instead, the Solarbank can respond more effectively to the household’s actual demand.
The Smart Meter is particularly useful for users who wish to increase their self-consumption. When electricity is needed in the home, the Solarbank can supply the energy in a more targeted manner. If consumption is lower, the output can be reduced accordingly. This makes the balcony power plant more efficient and easier to manage in everyday life.
The energy meter monitors consumption almost in real time. This enables the system to detect more quickly whether the household currently needs more or less energy. This is particularly useful for appliances with fluctuating energy requirements, such as washing machines, kettles, air conditioners, chargers or home office equipment.
The package includes three current clamps. This allows the smart meter to be used in three-phase installations. Measurements are taken directly in the distribution box, giving the system a better overview of the current energy flow in the household.
The Anker SOLIX Smart Meter supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and RS485. This enables it to communicate with compatible components of the Anker SOLIX system and transmit consumption data to the app or to the Solarbank. Operation and analysis are conveniently carried out via the Anker ecosystem.
When combined with an Anker SOLIX Solar Bank, the Smart Meter becomes a key component for optimising self-consumption. Rather than feeding surplus energy into the grid uncontrollably, the system can make better decisions about when electricity should be used, stored or fed into the grid.
The smart meter is installed in the distribution box and uses electrical terminals. Installation should therefore be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before purchasing, you should check whether the device is compatible with your existing Anker SOLIX Solar Bank and the planned installation.
