Since 1 January 2023 a VAT rate of 0 % applies to certain photovoltaic products.
Up to 30 kWp no proof is required. The conditions are deemed met if the installed gross capacity of the system according to the Marktstammdatenregister does not and will not exceed 30 kilowatts (peak).
If the goods are not bought for a photovoltaic system — for camping, travel or resale, for example — the regular rate applies. Choose 19 % VAT in that case.
Should the conditions not have been met despite your confirmation, the statutory VAT may be charged afterwards.

The Smart Meter continuously monitors how much electricity is being consumed in the home. The Jackery system uses this data to better tailor charging and discharging processes to actual demand – ensuring that stored energy is available exactly when it is needed in the home.
With a response time of ≤3 seconds, the system reacts particularly quickly to changes in consumption. When a device is switched on in the home, the Smart Meter recognises the demand immediately and dynamically adjusts energy management.
When used in combination with a Jackery SolarVault storage unit, the Smart Meter reduces energy losses: surplus solar power can be stored more effectively and used later. This increases self-consumption, and less energy is fed unnecessarily into the grid.
The Jackery Smart Meter is particularly useful for households wishing to gain a clearer understanding of their electricity consumption. The app makes it easy to track consumption data and system information, and to optimise energy consumption in everyday life.
The 3-phase version of the Smart Meter is available – suitable for households with a three-phase domestic connection.
The Smart Meter is compatible with standard Jackery storage and balcony power plant systems and enables intelligent control of energy flow for automated energy management.
Its compact design allows for installation in the distribution box. Measuring approximately 50 × 19 × 96.5 mm, the Smart Meter takes up very little space. Installation should be carried out by qualified specialists, as work on electrical installations is subject to specific safety requirements.
