Cancellation

Separate cancellation terms apply to consumers. This page merely explains the practical procedure and does not limit your statutory rights. We do not offer any voluntary right of return beyond these statutory rights.

Please notify us of your withdrawal by clicking the ‘Withdraw from the contract’ button at the bottom of each page, by emailing support-team@generator.eu, or by any other unambiguous means.

Return address

Please do not return the goods until you have given notice of withdrawal. We will then provide you with the return address applicable to your order, as items may be dispatched from different warehouses depending on the product.

Return costs

You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods. For goods which, due to their nature, cannot be returned by post in the usual way, you will find the estimated maximum costs in our cancellation policy. Please do not return parcels carriage forward; instead, please arrange the return delivery with us; we cannot accept carriage-forward consignments.

Returning parcels

Please pack the goods securely for transport and remove any personal data from devices. The original packaging is helpful but is not a prerequisite for the withdrawal to be valid. Please retain the proof of posting.

Returning goods sent via a freight forwarder

In the case of heavy or bulky goods, we recommend prior consultation so that a suitable carrier can be arranged and dangerous goods regulations can be complied with. Such consultation is not a prerequisite for the validity of the cancellation.

Goods containing fuel, oil or other operating fluids

Before returning such goods, tanks and pipes must be emptied, secured and, where necessary, degassed in accordance with transport and dangerous goods regulations. For safety reasons, please coordinate such returns with us in advance.

Products containing lithium batteries

Power stations, spare batteries and battery storage units contain lithium batteries and are classified as dangerous goods for transport. Please note:

• Please only return such products after consulting us in advance. We will advise you on the permitted method of dispatch.
• Where possible, use the original packaging bearing the printed dangerous goods label.
• Switch off the device, secure it to prevent accidental activation and cover any exposed contacts with tape.
• Damaged, swollen, hot or leaking batteries and devices must not be dispatched. In such cases, please inform us before taking any action; we will coordinate the next steps with you.

Note on compensation for loss of value

Consumers are only liable for compensation for loss of value under the conditions set out in Section 357a of the German Civil Code (BGB), i.e. for a loss of value attributable to handling that is not necessary to assess the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, and only if they have been properly informed of their right of withdrawal.

In the case of generators, it is possible to check the nature, characteristics and functionality without filling them with operating fluids. If a unit is filled with petrol, diesel or oil and put into operation, this may result in a loss of value because the unit can no longer be sold as new.

The exact amount of the loss is determined on the basis of the objective condition of the goods, their use, any necessary testing or reconditioning, and the remaining potential for resale. The right of withdrawal is not automatically excluded merely because the goods have been put into operation.

Defects and transport damage

In the event of a defect, the statutory rights relating to defects apply regardless of whether the contract has been rescinded. The absence of confirmation of visible transport damage by the carrier does not invalidate a consumer’s statutory claims. Please document any damage with photographs as soon as possible and report it to support-team@generator.eu.
