Könner & Söhnen KS 18-1YE diesel generator

The Könner & Söhnen KS 18-1YE is a high-performance single-phase diesel generator designed for demanding emergency power and continuous operation scenarios where a stable 230 V power supply is required. With a rated output of 16 kW and a maximum output of 17.6 kW, this diesel power station is suitable for domestic, commercial and technical applications where a reliable power supply is essential.

The unit is powered by a robust 4-cylinder YSD490D water-cooled diesel engine with a low speed of 1500 rpm. This design is specifically engineered for extended operating periods and ensures quiet, smooth operation. The engine delivers an output of 21 kW and has a displacement of 2540 cm³.

To ensure a stable output voltage, the KS 18-1YE is equipped with an intelligent AVR system. This reduces voltage fluctuations, which is particularly important when supplying more sensitive loads, control systems, pumps, tools or technical equipment. The integrated Datakom D300+2G controller with a graphical LCD display allows for clear monitoring of operating parameters and facilitates convenient operation of the generator.

Another advantage is the available ATS connection. This allows the generator to be integrated into an automatic emergency power solution, enabling automated start-up and switchover operation with suitable ATS technology in the event of a mains failure. This makes the KS 18-1YE particularly suitable for buildings, businesses, workshops, agricultural premises, warehouses, technical rooms or other facilities where power cuts need to be quickly mitigated.

The sound-insulated, moisture-protected metal housing reduces the noise level and provides additional protection for the equipment against external influences. With IP54 protection, a powder-coated housing and vandal-proof construction, the generator is designed for demanding applications. The noise level is 72/97 dB LpA (7 m)/LwA.

The large 76-litre fuel tank ensures long running times. With a documented consumption of 3.7 l/h at 50% load, this translates to a running time of approximately 10.3 hours at 100% load. For regular operation, please note that when used as the main power source, the continuous load should not exceed 80% of the rated power on a permanent basis.

For practical connection, a 32 A/230 V socket and two 16 A/230 V sockets are available. This allows both higher-power loads and several smaller loads to be connected directly.
