The Könner & Söhnen KS ATS 4/25 Inverter automatic transfer switch is a convenient solution for providing automatic backup power in the event of a mains power failure. The unit monitors the availability of the external power supply, automatically starts a compatible generator and switches the load to the backup source, allowing power to be maintained for critical loads without constant manual intervention.

The model is designed to operate with 230 V and 400 V networks, so it can be used in various connection configurations depending on the specific requirements of the site and the configuration of the electrical system. For single-phase operation, the manual specifies a power rating of 5.75 (11.5) kW and a maximum current of 25 (50) A, and for three-phase operation, 13 kW at a maximum current of 25 A. The unit’s main function is automatic power switching. Upon loss of mains power, the system automatically starts the generator after 15 seconds, and 30 seconds after it begins operating, transfers the load to the backup source. If start-up fails, the unit makes up to 5 attempts at 5-second intervals, after which it signals an error. This operating logic makes the system more reliable and convenient for everyday use.

The Könner & Söhnen KS ATS 4/25 Inverter is equipped with indicator lights showing mains power supply, generator power supply, load connection, automatic operating mode and fault status. The front panel also features a main switch and a generator emergency stop button, simplifying system operation and status monitoring.

Another useful feature of the model is automatic battery charging. The ATS unit charges the battery automatically, and the maximum charging current from the built-in 12 V power supply is 2 A. This helps keep the system ready for start-up without the need for additional complex solutions.

The model has an IP41 protection rating and is designed to operate in a temperature range from -10°C to +55°C. The storage temperature range is from -10°C to +70°C. A 7-pin connector and a control cable, included in the kit, are used to connect to the generator. It is important to note that the generator must have a special connector for connecting the ATS.
