Bluetti EP600 Inverter

The Bluetti EP600 inverter is a three-phase hybrid inverter designed for building a home or commercial energy storage system. The model works in conjunction with Bluetti B500 battery modules and enables the creation of a backup power, solar storage and off-grid system for a home, office or small facility.

The EP600 is part of the Home Energy Storage System range and is designed to operate in both On-Grid and Off-Grid modes. This means the system can operate either in conjunction with the mains grid or in standalone mode. This format is suitable for users who need not just emergency power for individual devices, but a fully-fledged power system for critical domestic or work loads.

The rated output power of a single inverter is 6 kW. When two units are used in parallel, the system can be scaled up to 12 kW. This allows it to power lighting, a fridge, a router, computer equipment, pumps, heating systems, household appliances, office equipment and other loads within the permissible load limits.

The system uses B500 battery modules with a capacity of 4.96 kWh each. Depending on the number of batteries, a capacity ranging from 4.96 kWh to 39.6 kWh can be achieved. This range makes it possible to select a configuration for various scenarios: from a basic backup for critical devices to longer-term off-grid power supply for the home.

The EP600 operates on a three-phase 230 V/400 V mains supply at 50 Hz. The phase configuration is specified as L1/L2/L3/N/PE. This is important for premises with a three-phase connection, where the load needs to be evenly distributed between phases and more powerful equipment needs to be supported.

For solar generation, a PV input with a capacity of up to 6 kW per inverter is provided. The MPPT range is 150–500 V, the nominal value is 360 V, and the maximum current per MPPT input is 12.5 A. The system has 2 independent MPPT inputs, allowing for more efficient operation with different groups of solar panels.

The inverter features a backup power function with a switchover time of less than 10 ms. This helps maintain the operation of sensitive equipment during a power cut and reduces the risk of sudden shutdowns of computers, network equipment, CCTV systems, alarms and other critical devices.

The inverter’s maximum efficiency is up to 94%. This helps to make efficient use of energy from batteries and solar panels, reducing losses during conversion. This figure is crucial for the day-to-day operation of an energy storage system, as it directly affects the actual usable energy.

The inverter housing has an IP65 protection rating, so the equipment is better protected against dust and moisture. The operating temperature range is from -20°C to +50°C, and the noise level is up to 50 dB. This allows the EP600 to be used in technical rooms or protected installation areas.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are provided for communication and control. Through the monitoring system, the user can monitor the status of the inverter, batteries, solar generation and consumption. This is convenient for daily monitoring of the system’s operation and optimising the use of stored energy.

The inverter measures 636×325×370 mm and weighs 42 kg. This is a stationary unit that requires the correct selection of batteries, solar panels, protection and professional connection to the mains supply.
