The Bluetti AC500 inverter is a powerful modular power hub designed for setting up a home, office or off-grid backup power supply system. The model has a rated power of 5000 W, a peak power of 10,000 W and a pure sine wave, making it suitable for powering a wide range of equipment — from sensitive electronics to more demanding household appliances.
It is important to note that the Bluetti AC500 does not have a built-in battery. It is an inverter unit that operates only in conjunction with compatible Bluetti B300S or Bluetti B300 battery modules. The inverter will not function without a battery, so when configuring the system, you must immediately include a suitable battery module.
The main advantage of the AC500 is its scalable modular design. The inverter supports connection to up to 6 B300S batteries with a total capacity of up to 18,432 Wh. You can also use up to 4 B300 batteries with a total capacity of up to 12,288 Wh. A combination of B300 and B300S batteries is also supported, allowing you to flexibly select the capacity for specific tasks.
With a power output of 5000 W, the Bluetti AC500 can power not only smartphones, laptops, routers and lighting, but also fridges, power tools, kitchen appliances, pumps, coffee machines, microwaves, office equipment, communication systems, CCTV and other devices. A short-term peak power of up to 10,000 W helps to cope with the inrush currents of certain loads.
The inverter produces a pure sine wave, which is particularly important for the stable operation of sensitive electronics, power supplies, computers, media equipment, pumps, refrigerators, boilers and other appliances. This type of output voltage is better suited for continuous backup power than simplified inverter solutions with a modified sine wave.
The Bluetti AC500 supports UPS mode and can be connected to the domestic mains supply for round-the-clock backup power. When the mains supply fails, the system automatically switches to battery power, helping to maintain the operation of essential appliances without a sudden shutdown.
There are 6 x 220V AC outputs for connecting AC appliances. In total, the system has 16 universal outputs, allowing you to connect many different devices simultaneously. This is convenient for the home, office, workshop, camping, holiday home or as an emergency backup.
For mobile electronics and modern gadgets, the model features 2 USB Type-C PD 100 W ports, 2 USB-A Quick Charge 18 W ports and 2 USB-A 5 V/3 A ports. The two 100W USB-C ports are ideal for charging laptops, tablets, smartphones, portable consoles and other devices with Power Delivery support.
A 12 V/30 A output is provided for DC equipment. There is also wireless charging, which allows you to charge compatible smartphones and accessories without a cable. Thanks to this range of outputs, the AC500 can simultaneously power household appliances, electronics, DC devices and mobile gadgets.
A solar input with a capacity of up to 3000 W allows you to quickly replenish your energy supply from solar panels. An efficient MPPT controller helps optimise the charging process and make better use of available solar energy. For the AC500 kit with a B300S battery, a full charge is claimed to take approximately 1.5 hours under ideal conditions.
The system supports several charging methods: from the mains, solar panel, car, generator, lead-acid battery, dual AC, and combined AC + solar panel mode. The description provided lists 6 charging methods, but in fact 7 options are listed, so in the specifications below I have included all the listed sources.
It is worth noting the high charging speed. The Bluetti AC500 can support a total input power of up to 8000 W, allowing the system to be fully charged in approximately 1.5 hours under suitable conditions. Charging from the AC mains at up to 5000 W is also available using a charging cable.
The BMS control system monitors the operation of the battery modules and helps ensure safe operation, stable performance and a longer battery lifespan. The use of LiFePO4 batteries in the compatible B300S or B300 modules makes the system more durable and safer for regular backup power.
The AC500 is controlled via a touchscreen and the BLUETTI mobile app. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are supported, allowing the user to monitor input and output power, real-time consumption, charging profiles, system status and OTA firmware updates.
The inverter’s housing measures 385×520×320 mm and weighs 30 kg. It is a powerful module that can be used as the backbone of a home power system, a backup power supply for an office, or a standalone kit for a holiday home, camping, field work or other scenarios where high power is required.
The Bluetti AC500 inverter is the solution for users who need a scalable system with high power output, a pure sine wave, UPS functionality, a solar input of up to 3000 W, the ability to expand capacity up to 18,432 Wh, and convenient control via an app. It is suitable for home backup power, use with solar panels, off-grid power supply, protecting critical equipment, and creating a flexible modular power system.
