The Bluetti EP2000 EnergyPro 20K inverter is a powerful three-phase hybrid inverter designed for building a home or commercial energy storage system. The model is designed to work with Bluetti B700 battery modules and enables the creation of a fully-fledged system for backup power, solar storage and off-grid operation of a home or facility.
The Bluetti EP2000 belongs to the Whole-House ESS class of solutions, i.e. energy supply systems for the entire house. It is not a portable charging station in the usual format, but a stationary hybrid inverter that works in conjunction with battery packs, solar panels and the mains supply. Such a system is suitable for homes, offices, small commercial premises, technical rooms and scenarios where a reliable, high-power backup power supply is required.
The system’s power output depends on the number of B700 batteries connected. With two batteries, the system provides 10.5 kW; with three, 15.5 kW; and with four or more batteries, up to 20 kW of output power. This level of performance allows it to power not only basic loads but also high-power domestic appliances, pumps, heating systems, ventilation, kitchen equipment and other critical loads.
The system operates on a three-phase 230 V/400 V mains supply at 50 Hz. The phase configuration is specified as 3L/N/PE, so the EP2000 is specifically designed for premises with a three-phase power supply. This is important for homes and commercial premises where the load needs to be evenly distributed between phases and more powerful equipment needs to be supported.
B700 battery modules are used for energy storage. A single module has a capacity of 7.3 kWh, and the standard system configuration with 2–7 batteries provides a total capacity of 14.7 to 51.6 kWh. This energy reserve is suitable for extended home backup power, operation from solar panels, and reducing dependence on the mains grid.
Scalability is provided for large-scale installations. The documentation states that by connecting several systems in parallel, it is possible to achieve up to 40 kW or 60 kW of output power and a capacity of up to 154.8 kWh. This makes the EP2000 an attractive solution not only for private homes but also for larger energy scenarios.
The solar part of the system is one of the model’s main advantages. The maximum PV input power per inverter is 30 kW. The MPPT voltage range is 160–850 V, with a nominal value of 500 V, and the maximum current per MPPT input is 30 A. There are 2 independent MPPT inputs, allowing for more efficient operation with different groups of solar panels.
The inverter’s efficiency is up to 98%. High efficiency is crucial for energy storage systems, as it reduces losses during conversion and helps extract more usable energy from batteries and solar panels. This is particularly relevant for the system’s daily operation in energy-saving or off-grid modes.
The Bluetti EP2000 supports both On-Grid and Off-Grid modes. This means the system can operate either connected to the mains grid or in standalone mode. In the event of a mains power failure, the inverter switches to backup power in less than 10 ms, helping to keep critical loads running without a prolonged interruption.
The system is well suited to scenarios where backup power is required for the entire house. It can power a fridge, lighting, a router, pumps, a heating system, household appliances, electronics and other critical devices. With a sufficient number of batteries and a properly configured solar array, the EP2000 can significantly reduce dependence on the grid.
The inverter has an IP65 rating, so it is better protected against dust and moisture compared to standard indoor units. The operating temperature range is from -20°C to +60°C, and the noise level is up to 50 dB. This allows the system to be used in various installation conditions, including technical rooms or sheltered outdoor areas.
USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are provided for communication and control. This allows the inverter to be integrated into a modern monitoring system, enabling control of operating parameters, battery status, solar energy generation and consumption. This format is convenient for homeowners and businesses requiring real-time control of the power system.
The inverter measures 670×280×460 mm and weighs 60 kg. This is a stationary unit that requires proper installation, selection of batteries and solar panels, protection, and connection to the mains. For such a system, it is important to ensure professional installation, taking into account three-phase connection and permissible loads.
TheBluetti EP2000 EnergyPro 20K is the solution for those who need a powerful, scalable and durable off-grid system. The inverter combines an output power of up to 20 kW, a solar input of up to 30 kW, compatibility with B700 batteries, three-phase connection, switchover to backup in less than 10 ms, IP65 protection, efficiency of up to 98% and a 10-year warranty. This is a good option for homes and facilities where not just emergency power is required, but a fully-fledged hybrid energy system.
