Automatically starts the petrol generator and switches the load over in the event of a mains power failure.
Supports operation with 230/400 V networks, rated for up to 13 kW and a maximum current of up to 25/50 A.
It has an IP41 rating, a built-in 12 V 2 A battery, an 8-pin connection, a 5 m control cable, LED indicators for operating modes and a compact housing measuring 320×250×140 mm.
The Könner & Söhnen KS ATS 4/25 Gasoline automatic transfer switch is designed to automatically start a compatible petrol generator and switch the load to the backup power source in the event of a power cut in the mains supply. This is a practical solution for homes, offices, workshops, shops or other premises where it is important to restore power quickly without constant manual supervision.
The model supports operation with 230 V and 400 V networks. For 230 V mode, the specified power is 5.75 kW with a maximum of 11.5 kW and a current of 25 A with a maximum of 50 A. For 400 V mode, the unit is rated at 13 kW with a maximum current of 25 A. As a result, the KS ATS 4/25 Gasoline is suitable for providing backup power in both single-phase and three-phase systems.
The ATS unit automatically monitors the presence of the mains supply and, if it fails, starts the generator after 2 seconds. Once the generator has started, the system switches the load to the backup power source after 5 seconds. In the event of a failed start, the ATS makes 3 start attempts at intervals of 3–6 seconds, after which it issues an error signal.
The front panel features indicator lights for mains power, generator power, load connection, automatic mode and error. The model is also equipped with a main switch and a generator emergency stop button, making system control more convenient and intuitive in daily use.
Another useful feature is automatic battery charging. The maximum charging current from the built-in 12 V power supply unit is 2 A, which keeps the battery ready for start-up. An 8-pin connector is used to connect to the generator, and the control cable is 5 m long.
The model has an IP41 protection rating and is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -10°C to +55°C and humidity up to 60%. The storage temperature ranges from -10°C to +70°C. The compact housing, measuring 320×250×140 mm and weighing 6 kg, is suitable for fixed installation in backup power supply systems.
Important: the manufacturer expressly prohibits the use of a gas generator in the automatic start-up mode of this ATS unit. The model is specifically designed to work with petrol generators in the appropriate configuration.
