The Pramac GRW 300 I - BAU 400V represents a level of serious industrial backup and stand-alone power supply, where the generator is not merely required to support individual circuits, but to confidently handle the operational demands of a large facility. This model is designed for enterprises, production sites, warehouses and logistics centres, agricultural complexes, infrastructure hubs, construction sites, service bases and technical systems where high power, a stable energy supply and the ability to operate continuously under significant load are required.
In the 50 Hz version, the generator delivers 245.4 kW of rated power and up to 269.8 kW of maximum power. This allows it to power large three-phase loads, complex engineering systems, groups of electric motors, pumping equipment, production lines, workshops, service stations and other facilities where a genuine power reserve is required, rather than operating at the limits of its capacity. That is precisely why the GRW 300 I - BAU 400V is well-suited to environments where it is not just the kilowatt figure that matters, but also operational stability under demanding conditions.
At the heart of the model is an FPT C87TEVP04 diesel engine with a displacement of 8,700 cm³. This is a 6-cylinder in-line power unit with turbocharging and an aftercooler, designed for reliable long-term operation in industrial conditions. Liquid cooling maintains a stable temperature regime, whilst the electronic speed governor helps to ensure smooth and predictable operation under variable loads. Paired with a brushless Leroy Somer alternator and electronic voltage regulation, this power unit provides a stable foundation for facilities where the power supply must not only be available, but also of high quality and reliable.
The autonomy is particularly noteworthy. The generator is equipped with a large built-in 800-litre fuel tank, making it much more convenient for long operating cycles without constant refuelling. At 100% load, fuel consumption is 63.65 l/h, and continuous running time reaches 12.57 hours. At 75% load, consumption drops to 47.61 l/h, and running time increases to 16.80 hours. For Stage V, a separate 80-litre DEF tank is provided, ensuring the correct operation of the exhaust after-treatment system and compliance with current environmental standards.
The GRW 300 I - BAU 400V is housed in a robust, soundproof casing with anti-corrosion protection, which is well suited to real-world operation on site. The design features service doors on both sides, simplifying access to key components during maintenance. Inside, there is protection for hot parts, a document holder, a manual battery switch, an oil drain pump, a 6-way fuel valve for connecting an external tank, a sump leak detection system, and a robust base frame allowing for easy movement by machinery. This design is particularly valuable where the generator operates not in sterile conditions, but in a real industrial environment.
In the BAU configuration, this model is designed for practical daily use. The ACP panel provides AMF functionality, generator status monitoring, an event log, fuel level indication, operating hours, protection functions and general monitoring of the unit’s operation. This allows the generator to be integrated into the facility’s backup power system without unnecessary complications. For more complex projects, an MPP panel is also available, supporting parallel operation of up to 32 generators, which opens up the possibility for large-scale solutions with phased capacity expansion.
The strength of this model lies in its flexibility for specific tasks. The generator supports 50/60 Hz switching, and available options include DFS, IMD insulation monitoring, internal cabinet and control panel lighting, DSEWebNet telemetry, expansion modules, a reinforced air filter, heating systems, frame bumpers, quick-connect QFC/QFC1 fuel and urea connectors, as well as other accessories for site-specific installation preparation. As a result, the Pramac GRW 300 I - BAU 400V is not just a large diesel generator, but a fully-fledged power base for those sites where high power, long runtime and reliable operation without compromise are required.
