The Pramac GRW 250 I - BAU 400V represents a serious industrial-grade stand-alone power supply solution for sites where a standard backup generator is no longer sufficient. This model is designed for large construction sites, manufacturing plants, agricultural complexes, logistics centres, warehouses, technical facilities, commercial buildings and critical systems where power outages can be extremely costly. The generator delivers 200.0 kW of rated power and up to 220.0 kW of maximum power, making it well-suited for powering significant three-phase loads, equipment groups and engineering infrastructure with high demands for operational stability.
At the heart of the unit is an FPT C87TEVP01 diesel engine with a displacement of 8,700 cm³. This is a 6-cylinder in-line power unit with turbocharging and an aftercooler, designed for reliable operation under sustained load. The liquid cooling system maintains a stable temperature regime, whilst the electronic speed governor helps the generator run smoothly, without unnecessary dips in performance. Paired with a brushless Leroy Somer alternator and electronic voltage regulation, this configuration forms a reliable power platform for facilities where not only power output but also a high-quality electricity supply is crucial.
A particular strength of this model is its long operating range. The built-in 800-litre metal fuel tank significantly extends the generator’s capacity for continuous operation without frequent refuelling. At 100% load, fuel consumption is 52.72 l/h, and continuous running time reaches 15.17 hours. At 75% load, consumption drops to 39.59 l/h, and running time increases to 20.21 hours. The Stage V version features a separate 80-litre DEF tank, which is essential for modern exhaust after-treatment systems and compliance with environmental requirements.
The Pramac GRW 250 I - BAU 400V is housed in a robust, soundproof enclosure that not only reduces noise levels but is also well-suited to intensive use on a real-world site. The housing is made of corrosion-resistant metal panels, features service doors on both sides for convenient access to components, an integrated silencer, protection for hot parts, a document holder, a manual battery switch, an oil drain pump, a 6-way fuel valve for connecting an external tank, and a sump leak detection system. The generator’s base is a reinforced frame designed for easy movement by machinery, which is particularly suitable for construction, service and infrastructure tasks.
In the BAU configuration, this model is designed for practical, operational use without unnecessary compromises. The ACP panel provides an automatic AMF function, full monitoring of the generator’s status, basic protections, a log of events and operating parameters, and fuel level and operating hour indicators. In other words, this is not just a power unit, but a ready-made solution for integration into a site’s backup power supply system. For more complex scenarios, an MPP panel is also available, supporting parallel operation of up to 32 generators, which offers greater flexibility for large-scale energy projects.
Another advantage of this model is its high flexibility to meet customer requirements. The generator supports 50/60 Hz switching, and the available options include DFS, VSS1, IMD insulation monitoring, additional internal lighting, expansion modules, DSEWebNet telemetry, a heavy-duty air filter, heating, frame bumpers, QFC/QFC1 quick-connect fuel and urea connectors, and other accessories. This is precisely why the Pramac GRW 250 I - BAU 400V is well suited not only as a powerful backup power source, but also as the basis for a professionally assembled power supply system tailored to a specific site, operating mode and installation conditions.
