The Könner & Söhnen KS 2500PS portable power station is a powerful mobile power supply for homes, flats, offices, workshops, holiday homes, outdoor events, renovation work, camping and as a backup power supply during power cuts. The model combines a rechargeable battery, a solar inverter with an MPPT charge controller and an uninterruptible power supply function in a single unit.

The station has a rated power of 2500 W, making it suitable not only for charging smartphones, laptops, routers and lighting, but also for powering more demanding equipment. It can be used for PCs, TVs, fridges, circulation pumps, boilers, coffee machines, microwaves, washing machines, hairdryers, air conditioners and other equipment within the permissible load limits.

The Könner & Söhnen KS 2500PS is based on a LiFePO4 battery with a capacity of 2560 Wh. The nominal voltage of the built-in battery is 25.6 V, and the capacity is 100 Ah. Lithium iron phosphate technology is well suited for regular use, as it is durable, stable and safer for long-term cyclic use.

The battery’s lifespan is up to 6,000 cycles under conditions of 0.2 C charging and 0.5 C discharging at 80% DOD. It is also specified as up to 4,000 cycles at a charge rate of 0.5 C and a discharge rate of 0.5 C at 80% DOD. This makes the station a cost-effective solution for those planning to use it not just occasionally, but as a permanent energy reserve for the home, workplace or off-grid system.

One of the main advantages of the KS 2500PS is its UPS function. In the event of a power cut, the unit automatically supplies power to connected devices within a very short time. The response time is 10 ms in UPS/VDE mode or 20 ms in APL mode. This makes the model suitable for equipment where avoiding sudden power cuts is crucial: computers, routers, alarm systems, CCTV, communications equipment, boilers and other critical equipment.

The unit outputs a pure sine wave, which is important for sensitive electronics, power supplies, pumps, boilers, computer equipment and devices with electric motors. This type of output voltage makes the power supply more stable and safer for equipment that may operate unreliably with simplified inverters.

Three 230 V Schuko sockets are provided for connecting household appliances. This is convenient when you need to power several devices simultaneously without the need for extra adapters. For DC equipment, there are 2 DC 12 V outputs, and for mobile electronics — 4 USB Type-A 5 V and 1 USB Type-C 5 V. In total, the station has 10 outputs for simultaneously connecting various devices.

The Könner & Söhnen KS 2500PS supports charging from the mains, solar panels and a generator. This makes the model a hybrid solution for various scenarios. It can be charged overnight from the mains at a cheaper tariff, topped up during the day using solar panels, or a generator can be used as an external charging source.

An MPPT controller is provided for solar charging, which constantly tracks the maximum power point of the solar array. The solar array’s voltage range under load is 30–128 V, and the maximum open-circuit voltage of the solar array is 145 V. The maximum MPPT conversion efficiency reaches 98%, which helps make better use of available solar energy.

Solar charging power can reach 1.65 kW. Under favourable conditions, the station can recharge to 80% in approximately 1.5 hours. This is particularly useful for users who wish to harness free solar energy, reduce electricity costs, or create a mobile solution for off-grid power without complex fixed installations.

The station features a built-in charging module for external AC power sources with a power factor correction ( PFC) circuit. This improves compatibility with generators and helps utilise the energy they produce more efficiently. This feature is important for hybrid systems, where the station can be charged from a generator and then quietly and economically power equipment from the battery.

The station’s housing is made of metal, which increases the strength and durability of the structure. The model is equipped with wheels and handles, making it easier to move despite its substantial weight. This is important for use at home, in a workshop, at a holiday home, during outdoor events, or in situations where the station needs to be regularly transported between different locations.

The KS 2500PS operates quietly and does not create noise pollution, unlike petrol generators. It requires no fuel, oil, filter changes or complex maintenance. This makes it suitable for use in residential premises, offices, flats or near people for whom quiet is important.

The unit also features multi-level protection against overcurrent, overheating, overcharging, over-discharging and short circuits. This helps ensure safer use of the device in everyday scenarios and protects both the unit itself and the connected equipment.

The battery life examples clearly demonstrate this model’s energy capacity. A laptop with a power consumption of around 40 Wh can be charged approximately 57 times, a phone via USB — approximately 230 times, a 10 W Wi-Fi router can run for up to 230 hours, a 60 W TV — up to 38 hours, a 140 W fridge — up to 16 hours, and a 100 W boiler for up to 23 hours. Actual operating time depends on the specific appliance, its operating mode and the total load.

The Könner & Söhnen KS 2500PS can be used as a backup power source for a house, flat, office, holiday home, workshop, camping, electric vehicle or solar panel energy storage system. It is suitable for scenarios requiring mobility, high capacity, a pure sine wave, fast power switching and the ability to charge from various sources.

The Könner & Söhnen KS 2500PS portable power station is a powerful all-in-one solution for those who need a large energy reserve without complicated installation. It combines 2500 W of power, a 2560 Wh LiFePO4 battery with a lifespan of up to 6000 cycles, UPS, MPPT, pure sine wave, 3 x 230 V sockets, 10 outputs, a metal casing, wheels and handles for transport.
