Jackery SolarSaga 100 W solar panel

The Jackery SolarSaga 100W is a foldable, portable solar panel designed for camping, travelling, outdoor activities and providing mobile power for Jackery PowerStations. With an output of 100 W, it harnesses solar energy to help you remain less reliant on mains sockets whilst on the move.

The solar panel uses monocrystalline solar cells and achieves a high conversion efficiency of up to 23 per cent. This enables it to efficiently convert sunlight into usable energy, making it particularly well-suited for use with portable power stations.

Thanks to its foldable design, the Jackery SolarSaga 100W is easy to transport and can be stowed away to save space. When folded, the panel measures just 610×535×35 mm. When unfolded, it measures 1220×535×5 mm and offers a large surface area for energy generation.

Weighing just 4.69 kg, the panel remains conveniently portable. The integrated TPE carrying handle makes it comfortable to carry, whether you’re camping, travelling, fishing, having a picnic, in the garden or on longer trips away from a power socket.

For quick and easy use, the solar panel is fitted with two practical stands. This allows it to be set up and aligned with the sun in a matter of seconds. The correct angle improves energy yield and helps to charge the connected power station more efficiently.

The Jackery SolarSaga 100W is designed for outdoor use. The ETFE lamination protects the solar cells and extends the panel’s lifespan. Its IP65 rating provides protection against splashing water and dust. However, the panel should not be left exposed to rain or direct contact with water for prolonged periods.

As well as connecting to compatible Jackery power stations, the panel also offers direct charging options for small devices. For example, smartphones, cameras, GPS devices or other compact devices can be charged directly via USB-A and USB-C when there is sufficient sunlight.

The SolarSaga 100W is particularly handy when used in combination with Jackery Explorer PowerStations. A single SolarSaga 100W can charge compatible models such as the Explorer 240 or Explorer 500. Two SolarSaga 100W panels, when used with the appropriate parallel cable, can also be used for larger systems such as the Explorer 1000.

Charging time always depends on the position of the sun, the weather, the temperature, the orientation and the location. Under good conditions, a SolarSaga 100W can charge a Jackery Explorer 240 in around 5.5 hours and an Explorer 500 in around 9.5 hours. Two panels can charge an Explorer 1000 in around 8 hours.
