The zero VAT rate under § 12 (3) UStG applies only to deliveries to Germany. Current delivery address: Germany.
Since 1 January 2023 a VAT rate of 0 % applies to certain photovoltaic products.
Up to 30 kWp no proof is required. The conditions are deemed met if the installed gross capacity of the system according to the Marktstammdatenregister does not and will not exceed 30 kilowatts (peak).
If the goods are not bought for a photovoltaic system — for camping, travel or resale, for example — the regular rate applies. Choose 19 % VAT in that case.
Should the conditions not have been met despite your confirmation, the statutory VAT may be charged afterwards.

The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 powers your devices even where there’s no mains socket available. With a battery capacity of 512 Wh and a continuous AC output of 500 W, it’s ideal for camping trips, working on the go and providing temporary power to selected devices during a power cut. Smartphones, laptops, lights or a suitable cool box can be connected via the various outputs.
Weighing around 5.7 kg, the power station can be carried comfortably from the car to your campsite or between different rooms. The fold-away handle makes it easy to carry and tucks away against the casing when not in use. Its compact dimensions make the Explorer 500 v2 practical even when storage space in your vehicle or at your workplace is limited.
Two 230 V sockets provide a combined continuous power output of up to 500 W. The power station supports a peak power output of 1,000 W for short periods. For mobile devices, there are two USB-C ports with a maximum output of 100 W and 30 W respectively, as well as a USB-A port with up to 18 W. A 12 V car socket completes the range of features.
Compatible laptops can be charged directly via USB-C. This leaves an AC socket free for other devices. When operating multiple devices simultaneously, please observe the permitted output power ratings and, for devices with motors, also take into account their start-up power requirements.
The lithium iron phosphate battery is designed to withstand many charge and discharge cycles. Jackery specifies 6,000 charge cycles down to a remaining capacity of at least 70 per cent. This makes the Explorer 500 v2 suitable for regular everyday use as well as for trips. Actual battery degradation depends, amongst other things, on temperature, load and usage patterns.
A full charge from a wall socket takes around 1.3 hours. When using mains power and a SolarSaga 100 W solar panel simultaneously, Jackery estimates this takes around one hour. Under suitable sunlight conditions, solar charging with a SolarSaga 200 W panel takes around 2.8 hours. Alternatively, the power station can be charged via a compatible car charging socket.
These options make it easier to prepare at home and recharge whilst travelling. The solar panel and car charging accessories are available separately, depending on the package chosen. The actual solar charging time depends on sunlight levels, orientation and temperature.
The UPS function automatically switches to the battery in the event of a mains power cut. Jackery specifies a switchover time of less than 10 ms for the European version. This allows the power station to continue supplying suitable connected devices within their power limits. A built-in LED light provides illumination when there is no power and also features an SOS mode.
The device is operated directly on the unit itself. The display allows you to keep an eye on the charge level and power output; there is no app available for this model.
