The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is a compact and powerful portable power station for anyone who needs a reliable source of power whilst on the move or at home. With a capacity of 512 Wh and an output of 500 W, it is ideal for camping, weekend trips, gardening, photography, working on the go, or as a practical emergency power solution during power cuts.
The power station provides enough energy to reliably power typical everyday devices and outdoor equipment. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, lamps, cameras, speakers, routers or a small cool box can all be flexibly powered or charged. With a total of 6 outputs, several devices can be connected at the same time, provided the total power consumption remains within the appropriate range.
Inside is a long-lasting LiFePO4 battery. This battery technology is synonymous with high safety, stable performance and a particularly long service life. The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is designed for up to 6,000 charge cycles at 70% remaining capacity. This makes it suitable not only for occasional trips but also for regular use over many years.
A major advantage of the Explorer 500 v2 is its fast and flexible charging. When charging via both mains and solar power, the power station can be fully charged in around 1 hour. Charging via the mains socket takes around 1.3 hours, with a SolarSaga 200 W solar panel around 2.8 hours, and via the 12 V car socket around 6 hours. This ensures the power station is quickly ready for use both at home and on the go.
The device is designed to be particularly practical for mobile use. Weighing just 5.7 kg, the power station is easy to carry. Its compact housing fits easily into a car, motorhome, garden shed, office or camping kit. Compared to many other power stations in this performance class, it takes up significantly less space and is therefore well suited to confined spaces.
Modern CTB technology ensures a more compact and robust design. The battery, inverter and electronics are efficiently integrated into the casing, making better use of the available internal space. This not only makes the Explorer 500 v2 smaller and lighter, but also supports a robust construction for regular mobile use.
The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is also well equipped when it comes to safety. ChargeShield 2.0 technology intelligently optimises the charging process and protects the battery under high loads. In addition, a multi-layered battery management system provides protection against overvoltage, overloading and other critical situations. The pure sine wave output ensures a stable power supply for sensitive devices.
The integrated UPS function switches over in less than 10 ms in the event of a power cut. This allows important devices such as routers, computers, lighting or other compatible appliances to continue operating for a short time. This is a significant advantage for working from home, maintaining an internet connection or providing lighting during a power cut. For particularly sensitive devices, compatibility should be checked before use.
The Powerstation is also designed to cope with a range of weather conditions. It can operate reliably within a temperature range of -20°C to +45°C. This makes it suitable not only for summer camping, but also for cooler seasons, winter outings or use in unheated rooms.
The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is also well suited to quiet environments. When discharging, it operates particularly quietly at less than 28 dB; when charging, the noise level remains below 36 dB. This means it can also be used in a tent, motorhome, bedroom, office or at night without being disturbingly loud.
Another practical feature is the power-saving mode. This can be activated at the touch of a button and automatically switches off outputs if no significant load is detected for an extended period. This ensures that energy is not wasted unnecessarily, and the stored capacity remains available for essential devices for longer.
The built-in LED light makes the power station useful even in emergencies and when camping. It can be used as a work light, orientation light or emergency lighting. This feature is particularly handy during power cuts, night-time driving, outdoor activities or repairs.
The Jackery Explorer 500 v2 is a well-designed power station for users who need more power and capacity than very small models can offer, but are still looking for a lightweight and portable device. It combines a 512 Wh capacity, 500 W power output, fast charging times, long-lasting LiFePO4 technology, a UPS function, quiet operation and a high level of safety in a compact design.
